MyComputerCareer is an accredited career college dedicated to serving and helping those looking for professional fulfillment in Information Technology. The school was founded back in 2007 by Tony Galati, who one year later opened the first campus in Raleigh, NC.
The founder and CEO, Tony Galati, is a BYU graduate who began his career in accounting. Nevertheless, in his mid-thirties, he decided to change to IT After building a successful career in the industry, he entered the field of IT education, both as a trainer and as an administrator. But feeling disappointed by the programs as well as the outcomes, he concluded that there should be a better way to help people change careers, as he did.
After opening the first campus in North Carolina and having roughly 100 graduates per year, today MyComputerCareer has grown and flourished, expanding into other areas of North Carolina as well as Texas, Indiana, and Ohio. Today, the college enrolls more than 3,600 students throughout its seven campuses across these states, as well as many others that utilize the online courses.
As of March 2019, MyComputerCareer has surpassed 500 employees, more than doubling in size in little less than two years. Though our mission is to help students develop the necessary skills to enter or further their careers in Information Technology, we are also looking to improve and give back to the community.
We hope to change lives for the better, for both our students, as well as the communities that we operate in. And by providing them with more and more jobs, we hope to achieve that. MyComputerCareer core purpose is to change lives, after all.
We are nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) and were designated among the “Fast-Fifty” fastest growing companies in the Raleigh Triangle area in 2017 and 2018. Also in 2018, we were named one of the Inc. 5000 fastest growing in the US.
A Long-Standing Commitment to Veteran Causes
We have also dedicated ourselves to helping veterans reintegrate themselves back into civilian life. Roughly a third of our students are military veterans, as well as a significant number of our staff and faculty members.
We sponsor the NASCAR POW-MIA Freedom Car, helping to spread awareness about our brave military men and women who were either prisoner of war or missing in action. And we sponsor and volunteer at Military Makeover with Montel, a Lifetime reality TV series dedicated to servicing veterans in need.
We have since been designated an official “Military Friendly School” and “Military Friendly Employer” and endorsed by the American Legion, Indiana and Texas Departments.
The MyComputerCareer IT Preparedness Program
Through our online and on-campus courses, our students will undergo a rigorous and hands-on instruction that will prepare them for earning valuable IT certifications. These certificates are from leading organizations such as Linux, Microsoft, Cisco Systems, CompTIA, and EC-Council. With them, MyComputerCareer students will be ideally qualified to fill high-paying and in high-demand jobs in IT Security, Network Administration and/or Helpdesk.
Our graduates will also have access to our Lifetime Career Services from the school. These services include career placement assistance, resume writing and interview preparation, as well as on-campus hiring events. Thanks to our extensive network of employer partners, many graduates will land a job in IT even before their training is complete.
