Get to Know the CEO – Tony Galati

MyComputerCareer is a company that specializes in technical education in the field of Information Technology. The company is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), and its team of professionals will help you build and refine your IT skills to earn professional certifications that are in such a high demand within the industry.

Our mission is “to help our students develop the skills necessary to permanently and positively change their lives and futures by attaining financially rewarding and personally fulfilling careers in Information Technology.”

Since the first campus opened in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2008, six additional campuses have been constructed in four states (North Carolina, Texas, Indiana, and Ohio.) The current national expansion program focuses on taking this concept to the online environment.

But how did everything start? Well, like most things, MyComputerCareer began with an idea. And that idea belongs to Tony Galati, the company’s CEO.

Who is Tony Galati?

To get a better sense of what MyComputerCareer is all about, we need to look at the man who made it all possible. As an information technology professional, entrepreneur, teacher, and business leader, Tony Galati is looking to revolutionize the vocational education system within the US. The result was MyComputerCareer, one of, if not the most significant professional colleges in the country that focuses on computer networking and security.

Tony has been guided by a few core principles that permeate his organization even to this day:

  • Be of service and seek to lift others
  • Always behave in a both legal and ethical manner
  • Prove it—scale it—track it—improve it
  • Act with integrity and respect for others
  • Pray hard, work harder, and have fun

Mr. Galati was a graduate of the BYU Marriott School of Management. His first job was in accounting, but after several years, he realized that bookkeeping was not for him. With a growing family to sustain and job satisfaction in quick decline, Tony Galati was eager for change.

With the help of a friend tutoring him in a basement-turned-classroom, Mr. Galati was able to transition from accounting and into IT as a help-desk technician in the early ‘90s. From there, he went on to become a team leader and instructor. It wasn’t long before he began teaching IT for many of the country’s top training companies.

After more than a decade of teaching tech skills to mostly other IT professionals, Tony felt inspired to take his love for the craft and help improve their quality of life by founding MyComputerCareer. So, now instead of teaching tech skills to only tech professionals, Tony Galati is educating all those who are willing to learn. And thanks to the values of being Ethical, Customer First, Love, and Excellence, MyComputerCareer has ballooned this past decade.

From one instructor and small support staff, the company transitioned into a national institution with seven brick and mortar campuses and an extensive online learning program. The company has also gone on to become a Fast-Fifty, one of the fastest growing companies in the Raleigh Triangle, as well as a 2018 Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies in America.

MyComputerCareer also sponsors the POW-MIA Freedom Car, the Military Makeover on Lifetime TV, and participates in all sort of other military-related causes.
