The Mission and Meaning of POWMIA

The Mission and Meaning of POW-MIA Freedom Car

The Freedom Car is a part of a joint effort between MyComputerCareer and Team Johnson Motorsports to raise awareness for the cause of Prisoners of War (POWs) and those Missing in Action (MIA), part of the United States Military. By reaching out to over 75 million motorsports fans, Team Johnson and MyComputerCareer are hoping to educate and inspire viewers about this cause.

Thanks to the renewed and expanded title sponsorship from MyComputerCareer, the team added a second Freedom Car to compete in the regional NASCAR races throughout the South and Midwest of the United States.

Tony Galati, Founder, and CEO of MyComputerCareer said that “The Freedom Car is part of a joint effort to raise awareness for the cause of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action service members of the United States military. Team Johnson Motorsports, the Freedom Car drivers, and MyComputerCareer hope to inspire and educate others about the great service and sacrifice provided by all servicemen and servicewomen, but especially by Prisoners-of-War and the Missing-in-Action.”

With over 87,000 American soldiers officially listed as MIA and with over 130,000 held as prisoners of war since World War II, the Freedom Car is a way to support all current and former members of the US military, as well as a way to honor all those POWs and MIAs.

The POW-MIA Freedom Cars dedicate to promoting and increasing public awareness of all the POWs and MIAs of this country. The hope is to educate all future generations of this issue and believe in the cause. It’s essential for all our Americans to understand that the greatest tragedy of all is to be forgotten. And through all of the racing mediums, public events, sponsors, and veteran supporters, we hope to keep the issue of POW-MIA at the forefront of all of our fellow Americans.

How MyComputerCareer Is Helping Veterans

Our partnership with Team Johnson Motorsports and the Freedom Car is one of the ways MyComputerCareer seeks to help veterans and those in the US military. We have also worked with other charities and nonprofit organizations, as well as the Military Makeover show.

But aside from these projects, MyComputerCareer main mission is to help veterans transition to civilian life by offering them the opportunity to become IT professionals in their own right. If you sign up with our organization, you could be eligible for financial aid through the GI Bill® and Veterans Administration programs.

MyComputerCareer provides you with the necessary information technology (IT) technical training, certification preparation, as well as job placement support for all veterans looking to enter this industry. We help our students prepare for IT certifications from leading organizations such as Microsoft, Linux, Cisco Systems, EC-Council, and CompTIA.

All of these provide in-demand and high-paying opportunities in jobs such as IT Security, Network Administration, or Helpdesk. If you would like to learn more about our courses, applicable financial aid programs, or career services, do not hesitate to contact us.
