MyComputerCareer Named a 2021-2022 Top Military Friendly® School

Nationally Acclaimed IT School Named #3 Military-Friendly® Brand; Recognized as Military Friendly® for Fourth-Consecutive Year

HOLLY SPRINGS, North Carolina – March 17, 2021 – MyComputerCareer, an accredited online and in-campus technical college, announced today that it was named a 2021-2022 Top 10 Military Friendly® brand, earning the #3 ranking and marking the fourth-consecutive year of recognition as a Military Friendly® School. The Military Friendly® School designation honors colleges and universities serving military and veteran students nationwide, which are evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.

“As the son of a veteran, I personally have the utmost respect for the military community, which is one of the reasons I’m very proud to say more than 20 percent of our students are veterans,” said Tony Galati, founder and CEO of MyComputerCareer. “Since starting MyComputerCareer in 2007, assisting those in the military with enrollment, scholarships, trainings and job placement have been founding principles – and we look forward to serving those who defend our country well into the future.”

In addition to the #3 Military Friendly® brand recognition, several MyComputerCareer localized campuses received distinctions. MyComputerCareer Columbus received a gold level and top ten school designation with its rank of nine among schools nationwide. MyComputerCareer Indianapolis campus and Raleigh campuses also received silver and bronze level designations through Military Friendly® Schools, respectively.

Educational institutions are measured for the Military Friendly® School designation on their ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans. The Military Friendly® awards are owned and operated by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business. Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.

“Military Friendly® is committed to transparency and providing consistent data driven standards in our designation process. This creates a competitive atmosphere that encourages colleges to consistently evolve and invest in their programs. Schools who achieve designation show true commitment and dedication in their efforts,” said Kayla Lopez, national directory of military partnerships at Military Friendly®. “Our standards assist schools by providing a benchmark that promotes positive educational outcomes, resources, and support services that better the educational landscape and provide opportunity for the Military Community.”

MyComputerCareer is committed to bettering the lives of veterans and their families by helping them transition from military to civilian life through programs developed to expertly prepare them for employment in the IT industry. The college is the proud sponsor of the #76 POW-MIA Freedom Car in partnership with Team Johnson Motorsports to honor all current and former military members, and in remembrance of America’s 82,000 Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action. In 2020, nonprofit organization Helping Heroes joined forces with Team Johnson Motorsports to further raise awareness, funds and support across the country. The alliance was made possible through Tony Galati. Additionally, MyComputerCareer partners with the Lifetime Network to sponsor the show Military Makeover with Montel Williams, which helps deserving veterans and their families remodel their homes.
