From Taxi Driver To A Driving Career In IT

Before MyComputerCareer, Justin Smith had been working for a ride share company but always had a fondness for technology.   Justin’s only IT experience was in his teens and he struggled to get his foot in the door. Justin says, ” I had tried the online thing before. I had been sorely disappointed in it.  So at first I was a bit apprehensive to try it again. My concerns were quickly dismissed as the structure kept me involved from the first step.” Justin credits the Career Services Department as “an amazing help in assisting not only in locating a job, but with helping to prepare me for the interview.”

Now, Justin has started his first job in IT working for Charlston County School Department in their IT Sector. Justin is beyond excited to start his computer career and no longer lives paycheck to paycheck.

“I am no longer worried about which bill will fall behind this month in an effort to stay fed and keep the lights on. The house has become much more peaceful without the worry of finances looming overhead.” MyComputerCareeer has helped me out in more ways than I could ever imagined. It’s helped me build confidence not only in my abilities, but in myself as a human being. I feel that I have a value now and am not just floating through life aimlessly.”
