FEDERAL STUDENT AID OPTIONS
We want every person who is tired of a dead end job or an unsatisfying career to have the opportunity to begin a new, rewarding career in IT. However, for many people, the fear that a quality education and recognized training program is too expensive, stops them from taking that first step toward a new life. Before you close the door on an incredible opportunity, learn more about the federal student aid options that you may be eligible for:
Federal Pell GrantsThe Federal Pell Grant is designed for lower income students to access education and training programs. Unlike a loan, students are not required to pay back this type of federal student aid. Criteria for the Pell Grant is specifically tied to financial need rather than merit. Students must fill out the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA), which determines the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). If you meet requirements, you will receive a sum to put toward your tuition.
Federal Student LoansWhether you receive the Pell Grant and need additional aid or you aren’t eligible for a grant, you may also be eligible for federal student loans. Federal student loans, such as Direct Student Loans provide students with low-interest loans that offer deferment options and don’t require repayment until six months following completion or leaving your MyComputerCareer program. Direct Student Loans are available to nearly all students who fill out the FAFSA and enroll in an approved program, such as MyComputerCareer programs. There are also Federal PLUS loans for parents of dependent, undergraduate students available. At MyComputerCareer, we partner with numerous federal student aid programs to help you access the education and training you need to begin your career in IT. We have Financial Aid Specialists available to help walk you through the financial aid process and help you create the right funding package to meet your needs. Regardless of your circumstances, reach out to us, and we’ll help make your path to your new career accessible!
