IT-training fixture earns designation for new platform launches designed to educate learners at every level of their career
Holly Springs, N.C. – July 6, 2023 – MyComputerCareer, an online and in-campus technical college, today announced it secured the 2023 Merit Award for Business, gold designation, in the business innovation category. The school earned the honor behind the launch of its newly developed upskilling platform for working IT professionals, and its Cyber Warrior Program designed for military veterans to break into cybersecurity.
In just six months, MyComputerCareer developed and launched its first-ever B2B platform for folks already working in the IT industry. The skill-building training platform utilizes MyComputerCareer’s landmark training platform featuring in-person instruction from some of the best in the industry in a live online format. By replicating the personal interaction the school has utilized since day one to over 20,000 students, it provides an unparalleled upskilling option for IT pros.
In addition to the short course platform launch, the school worked diligently to launch a new program focused on prepping service members for careers in cybersecurity. An expansion of the school’s highly-successful, Department of Defense approved, Skillbridge program that caters to active duty service members, the Cyber Warrior Program caters to veterans hoping to transition to civilian careers in the industry. Launching this employment-focused program was important to company leadership as providing learning opportunities and support to members of the military to potentially change their lives has been a focus of the school since day one.
“The educational path we’ve provided to students since 2007 provides a real opportunity to better their lives by finding careers in the red-hot, ever-changing IT industry,” said Tony Galati, founder and CEO of MyComputerCareer. “As the industry evolves, we understand our offerings need to evolve to ensure we’re effectively meeting students and grads at every step in their educational and professional journeys. Earning this award is the result of many folks coming together for the last 12 months to develop these game-changing learning platforms.”
