Holly Springs, N.C. – January 18, 2024 – MyComputerCareer, an online and in-campus technical college, recently announced the appointment of Matt Denton as director of military operations. In the role, Denton will draw from 22 years of experience to oversee the day-to-day management of all military operations, including the recruitment, training, and direction of staff. He will also guide the school’s Military team through business development initiatives to help ensure optimal educational outcomes for students.
Prior to MyComputerCareer, Denton held a number of progressive leadership roles in the Air Force, most recently as the Weapons Systems Superintendent for Air Force Special Operations Command. In this role, he led and mentored a team of 16 program managers responsible for supporting over five thousand personnel and managing the life cycle logistics and sustainment of 282 highly-modified special operations aircraft. Previous to this position, Denton was the Senior Enlisted Leader accountable to over 450 special operations personnel across 12 diverse career fields. He has also recently held leadership positions in operations management and on multiple Inspector General teams.
Denton earned an associate’s degree in aerospace maintenance technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a bachelor’s degree in management from Park University, and a master’s degree in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
“During our 16-year history, we’ve been dedicated to providing training and resources to help service members transition into civilian life through rewarding IT careers, and our Military Operations team plays a pivotal role in identifying and activating those resources,” said Amy Onuska, president of MyComputerCareer. “Matt’s lengthy career in the Air Force, in addition to his proven team-management experience, makes him an ideal match for this leadership position and allows MyComputerCareer to extend our reach even further into the military community.”
