MyComputerCareer Celebrates Nearly 1000 Potential IT Professionals in April Graduation Ceremony

Holly Springs, N.C. – April 5, 2023 – MyComputerCareer, an online and in-campus technical college, celebrated the achievements of 975 graduates across all campuses during its virtual graduation ceremony Saturday, April 1, at noon. The class – made up of graduates from the school’s Information Technology Security and Administration (ITSA), Cyber Security Specialist (CSS), Cyber Security Engineer (CSE), Cyber Warrior, and Associate’s Degree programs – reflects the demand for skilled IT professionals and the phenomenal growth of the profession.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in computer and information technology occupations is projected to rise 13 percent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations. These occupations are projected to add about 667,600 people to the workforce.

The virtual ceremony featured remarks from CEO Tony Galati, President Amy Onuska, Regional Director of Texas Operations Jarvis Hill, Director of Alumni Services Kelly Dowling, Director of Military Operations Ryan Sattelberg, and Chief Marketing Officer Bruce Ackerman.

In his address to graduates, Tony Galati praised their resolve to complete the challenging program.

“There is nothing that makes me happier than knowing there’s a group of warriors who overcame their fear and the difficulties presented by a very strenuous program to make it here today for graduation. In fact, many of you had to overcome significant obstacles just to get into the program and stuck with it, overcoming any fears. This level of dedication will pay dividends as you venture out to your professional lives in Information Technology,” Galati said.

During the school’s 15-year history, MyComputerCareer has equipped more than 21,000 graduates with the skills and resources needed for success, resulting in alumni working for some of the top tech companies across the country. MyComputerCareer welcomes students with no former experience or training in IT, and  graduates come from a broad range of backgrounds – from hospitality to retail to stay-at-home parents. The graduation ceremony is an ideal opportunity to recognize their hard work and accomplishments.
