The Cyber Warrior Program is just 12 or 24-weeks long and provides the opportunity to earn up to 4 highly sought-after industry certifications from CompTIA that will help prepare you for a variety of positions in IT.
Professional certifications tell employers you have the knowledge and skill sets to fill specific roles and tasks within a computer and network environment. These courses and the certifications associated with them provide a strong foundation for employment and advancement in IT.
You’ll start with hardware and software basics, advance to networking fundamentals, and conclude with high-value principles, infrastructures, and practices related to systems and data security. Together, they can make you an attractive job candidate whether you’re just starting out in your IT journey or looking for advancement.

Yes. MyComputerCareer is an accredited institution and federal financial aid is available to qualified students. The GI Bill® and other VA benefits as well as Vocational Rehabilitation (Voc Rehab) and workforce development funding (available in some states) may also apply. What program can I attend at MyCC with DoD SkillBridge?
MyComputerCareer’s Certified Cyber Warrior SkillBridge Program is just 12 weeks long (ideal for your final months of enlistment!). Through the program you can earn four highly sought-after certifications that will prepare you for any number of career positions within the IT industry. These certifications include:

CompTIA A+
Master hardware and software fundamentals, operating systems, networking and security essentials.

CompTIA Network+
Gain specialized knowledge and skills in network administration.

CompTIA Security+
Add key knowledge and skills in network and data security preparing you to protect and defend vital information resources.

CompTIA CySA+
Apply behavioral analytics to networks and devices for combating malware and advanced, persistent cybersecurity threats.
Key Eligibility Requirements to Participate in and Complete a SkillBridge Program
- Time in Service / Separation Window
- Must be within 180 days of your separation or retirement date, and the SkillBridge training must be completable before your separation.
- Command Approval
- Your chain of command must approve your participation.
- Participation is mission-dependent — your command can cancel or deny SkillBridge if operational needs require it. Military.com
- Transition Assistance / TAP
- You generally must have completed required components of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) or Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS), depending on your service
- Character of Discharge
- You should expect an Honorable discharge
- Some branches explicitly require no “flags” or pending action
- Facility / Access Requirements
- If the training is on a DoD or government facility, you need to meet facility access rules.
- For remote or virtual programs, there may be specific restrictions around how “virtual” the training can be. Classes must be live-led.
- No Compensation from Training Provider
- Generally, SkillBridge participants do not receive pay or a stipend from the training provider; you’re still on active duty, and your military pay/benefits continue.
- Participation is considered “official duty” for many services.
- Program Length / Time Limits
- The training opportunity must fit entirely within your remaining time before separation.
- Some services limit how long you can do SkillBridge based on rank. For example: the Navy has tiered limits (e.g., E6–E9 up to 120 days, O5+ up to 90 days) per GAO reporting.
- For the Army CSP, there are similar rank-based caps
