In May 2017, MyComputerCareer, Crabtree Valley Mall and 94.7 QDR teamed up to salute our military and first responders for Community Heroes Day. MyComputerCareer’s Raleigh Campus celebrated their community heroes by encouraging community members to pursue their dreams of an Information Technology career through a full tuition and fees scholarship to their Information Technology Systems Administrator Program (ITSA).
“I.T. is an ever expanding field that offers professionals an outstanding career and lifestyle” said Tony Galati, Founder and CEO of MyComputerCareer. “In honor of those who give so much in service, we’re offering this scholarship as one small way to give back to this community.” These were the words that caught the attention of our newest Television program partnership.
MyComputerCareer was approached to be featured for the month of October on American Airlines on-board TV programming. “The Producer knew about our school, the I.T. programs and our CEO” said Jenny Nichols, Executive Director at MyComputerCareer. “He didn’t know about our mission and the outcomes that we produce that support this mission. I almost think that he didn’t believe me when I first started telling him our graduation and job placement statistics. When you work for a school, like MyComputerCareer, that is able to graduate and place students at the rates we do, you forget that other people might not have had those same experiences with other schools.” MyComputerCareer graduated 86% and placed 95% of their students 30 week Information Technology Systems Administrator resident program in 2016 from their Raleigh Campus.
At the beginning of the day, MyComputerCareer was asked to be a feature for one month and by the end of the day, they were asked to be featured for two. Trying to do the right things right does pay off!
